WhatsApp challenge recipe #14: Bengali tomato chutney

Collating a bunch of recipes received from family and friends during a WhatsApp forward challenge. Haven't tried this one yet.

One recipe I am sharing with you here, which is very easy and we can have it as a dessert. In Bengal, it's extremely common. It is called Tomato chutney; we serve the main course then Tomato chutney and finally Dahi and sweets.

So here is the recipe:

1) Heat 2 tablespoons of refined oil in a pan.
2) Add little mustard seeds or kalonji along with 2 Dry red chilies.
3) Add small cut pieces of tomatoes into it.
4) Keep it cover and occasionally stir until it becomes soft and mashed.
5) Add sugar
6) we can also add dates.
7) we can also add some lemon juice so that it gives us a taste of sour-sweet and spicy.
